 Maarten Noyons is best known as the founder of the International Mobile Gaming Awards. Started out as a producer of music videos in London and Amsterdam, Maarten moved to TV licensing in the 90s, selling TV formats and TV rights worldwide. In 1997 he co-founded a private incubator, funding a Finnish WAP portal, a Belgian E-commerce start-up and an interactive TV channel The Auction Channel, which he sold in 2001. He then moved his family of 4, and a piano to Marseille where he continued to kickstart new ventures such as Playground Thursday , Playground Publishing and more recently THE 399 (pronounce THE EGG), a pre-launch platform for free-to-play mobile games and apps.

  VR was the hottest topic of the E3 Expo in Los Angeles this year. In the 1 st quarter of 2016 $1.1 billion US$ was invested in AR/VR. What are the results now? Which games are on the market now that I should try out? What can we expect in the near future? Are there any technologies that will have a larger impact on games as AR/VR will have? Robots? Artificial Intelligence?
